Description

The model AAH 311 is an intermediate Eb Alto (Tenor) Horn with many new and improved features, which is the result of extended study and innovation. The redesigned valve casing section, combined with newly shaped mouthpipe provide this horn with easy playability and comfortable fingering. Stainless steel valves ensure smooth noiseless and consistently tight valve action. New design details like solid metal finger buttons, valve caps as well as nickel-silver slides provide the instrument with a beautiful and unique appearance. It's focused tone, excellent intonation and effortless sound projection make this a well suited instrument for school use as well as brass band performance.

  • Key: Eb.
  • Bore: 11.7mm / 0.460".
  • Bell: 200mm / 7 7/8". Yellow Brass with brass wire reinforced rim. Optional red brass bell.
  • Tuning Slides: Brass inner slides, nickel-silver outer slides, brass bow. Hand lapped for easy adjustment.
  • Valve Casing: Compact design for free air flow. Ergonomically positioned for comfortable fingering. Brass inner slides, nickel-silver outer slides, brass bows. Non compensating.
  • Valves: 3 top action. Stainless steel, hand lapped. Bottom sprung action. Nylon valve guide.
  • Mouthpipe: Corrosion resistant red brass with nickel-silver mouthpiece receiver. Optional nickel-silver mouthpipe.
  • Trimmings: Newly designed braces, plates and connecting ferrules.
  • Finish: Highly polished and protected with clear epoxy lacquer. Please see the Finish Options page for more optional finishes.
